What makes us unique?

Academic Excellence

We have twice been commended by Nick Gibb MP (Secretary of State for School Standards) for our excellent results for 6 year olds and 11 year olds.

Cognitive Acceleration

We were the world’s first Let’s Think School. We work in close partnership with University College London to develop our pupils’ approach to problem solving.

High Expectations

We know, nurture and value every child. Their academic achievement and personal development are our primary goals. We go the extra mile.

The Arts

We have a strong commitment to music: a specialist music teacher, heavily-subsidised instrument tuition, a brass band and choir combine to perform regular concerts.

Forest School

We have a designated Forest School teacher, who leads learning, fosters well-being and facilitates personal development each week in a Local Nature Reserve.

Partnership with Parents

We are currently working towards the Leading Parent Partnership Award, which will recognise and develop strong collaboration between families and school.

Caring

We tackle the big, moral issues each week in assemblies. Staff are welcoming, approachable and responsive to the needs of children and their families.

Connected

We have excellent working partnerships with our neighbours, such as City University, and organisations that support children’s development, such as the NHS.
